WHAT IS HAPPENING IN 2009 IN THE EVANSBURG, ENTWISTLE, AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITY?
| January 10 | Ukrainian New Years Come celebrate the heritage of our community at the Park court Hall, located north of Evansburg. The food is wonderful, and there is a live band. Don’t miss it. |
| February 4 | Chip Lake Ice Race This is a must see event, as competitors from all over Alberta race motorbikes, and quads on sheer ice. This is a sanctioned event. Chip Lake is located west of Wildwood and is a bird sanctuary. It’s not a bad place to try your luck at ice fishing as well. |
| February 14 | Lions Snow Golf and Supper The Entwistle Lions run an event on the village street, with all sorts of clubs being used. Then there is their famous steak barbeque. In case of inclement weather, the postponement date is March 1. |
| February 16 | Family Day Celebrations Join the fun for the entire family at the Evansburg Arena. There is a pancake breakfast, crafts, a petting zoo and games for the kids, stage show and log sawing competition. Don’t miss the sleigh rides. |
